Background:
For The Preacher's Daughter, a charming blend of wine bar, café, and restaurant nestled in the heart of Alameda, fostering community and intellectual exchange is as important as their culinary offerings. As part of their commitment to creating a welcoming space for patrons to engage in thoughtful discussions, they host a monthly book club.
To enhance this experience, they commissioned a logo that reflects the essence of their book club—sophisticated yet approachable, with a touch of modern elegance. The design needed to embody the spirit of literary exploration while remaining effortlessly simple.

Process:
To capture the true essence and atmosphere of the book club’s meeting space, I conducted thorough research both within and around the area. My goal was to design a logo that would seamlessly integrate into the environment, blending in effortlessly. The book club is situated in a corner building featuring tall ceilings and abundant natural light. The indoor color palette is composed of various shades of green, complemented by wood accents. The book club meets indoors once a month to enjoy food and wine while discussing the book. The client wanted a series of logos to choose from so I worked to incorporate these various themes while keeping the design simple.
